Building Performance / Basic Auditor Training

The course consists of a full week of in-class and in-field study. The course curriculum consists of 12 modules covering topics such as the building-as-a-system approach to auditing, building science, basic building construction, heat transfer, moisture control, insulation types and their application, air sealing, heating systems, diagnostic and safety testing, etc.

Students who successfully pass the in-class, on-line examination will then be positioned to take the in-field proctored audit on their way to becoming BPI-certified. It is highly recommended that students perform several audits to become very familiar with the tools and techniques before attempting to become field-certified.
